I’ve stayed at Avalon Eco Resort twice and both visits were fantastic! The resort is beautiful, great location, laid out nicely, fully stocked and equipped and very clean and well-kept. Cabins are really nice and stocked with all the kitchen gear you may need including plates, bowls, kettle, S&P, oil, soap, pots and pans, spatulas, dish towel, cheese grater and pam. There’s a dock you can paddle or swim off of and kayaks and canoes onsite if you don’t have your own. The paddling is nice off the dock. Definitely very highly recommended! They keep the resort including shared washrooms very nice and clean and they are there to help with anything you might need.

Better than expected! Close to Killarney and the park. Parking pass to Park included with stay. Cabin spotless. Kitchenette and furniture as new. Private deck with fireplace....wood included. Great waterfront and swimming. Canoes kayaks all included. Kids will love this place. Easygoing people run it. Took me a day to unwind, put the phone away, relax. Will stay longer next time. Thankyou

We had a group of 17 stay in the cabins for our wedding this past week. Chris was extremely accommodating and friendly right from the moment we started playing phone tag to make the reservations, I had multiple questions throughout the year leading up to the check-in date, and Chris answered them all promptly. When we checked in, we were given a tour and greeted by the pups who live there. During our stay, Chris was always looking out for us, providing us with tables, etc, to make our plans happen smoothly. Cabins are very spacious, well-built, and clean. Bathrooms and showers are among the cleanest we have ever encountered! Our families really enjoyed the free use kayaks and canoes. They spent most of their time fishing off the docks as well. Park passes are included with your stay, and the park is within a 25 - or so minute drive. You can really tell they put their hearts into this place. We will definitely be back!

Thought I already rated this spot. Went many years ago when they first bought the place, then went back years later. Didn't want a cabin, had a tent spot right by the lake. Both times we got the same great spot. Beautiful lake with access to kayaks, canoe, paddle boards life vests etc. all Inclusive in the price. And firewood included. I hate leaving a good review because I want this spot all to myself, but the family that runs it deserves great things. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at the resort 3 times over the years. The cabins are clean and well maintained. The property is beautiful, the lake is great for swimming, and there is plenty of equipment for paddling. The owner is great and very helpful. The resort is a short drive away from any of the main trailheads for Killarney park. I highly recommend it, and will hopefully return more times.

My partner and I, along with our two pups, really enjoyed our time at Avalon Eco Resort. The owner was friendly and got us checked in quickly and efficiently, going over the cabin with us as we arrived. We stayed in Cabin 5 - The Dawn - and loved the view of the lake and having a fire pit. The cabin was clean, tidy, and stocked with all the kitchenware we needed. We also enjoyed seeing his dogs do their rounds in the evenings and stopping in to say hello from time to time. The resort is located about 25 minutes from Killarney Provincial Park, and we used it as a home base while exploring the park. Would definitely recommend!

just spent Labour Day weekend at The Church at Avalon. It was so clean and fresh inside. All the amenities were newer. We enjoyed a charcoal bbq, wood for the wood stove, a tandem kayak and a canoe, as well as the Killarney Provincial Park pass, all at no extra cost. Great Value! The Church is small, as advertised, but perfect for a couple who are not too tall. The lake is lovely. It is close to the road and there was some road noise but they also noted that in their ad so we knew about it before we booked. Overall, great experience!

We had the pleasure of staying at Avalon Eco Resort for a weekend in June 2024. As a family of 4, two adults and 2 young children (7 + 5) – the resort was family friendly and very accessible for us. We stayed at the Singing Loon cabin, and it was nothing short of amazing. The cabin was pristinely cleaned, and well stocked. Beds were outfitted with sheets and pillows, kitchen was equipped with plates, cutlery, bowls, pots and pans (even salt/pepper/Spray PAM), even the bathroom had toiletries (toilet paper, hand soap, even bug spray). We literally only needed to bring the clothes on our backs, and the food for our stay. When I say the views were amazing, I mean the views were amazing! Our private dock was a small walk down a hill and viewed out onto the beautiful Tyson Lake. The kids and ourselves enjoyed some swimming (not to mention the fun on the water trampoline!), as well as some fishing, kayaking and canoeing. The fishing was plentiful on both the boats and from the dock. The kayaks/canoes and equipment were all in new/great shape, with modern lifejackets in a wide range of sizing which was appreciated for us “larger” adults. We also enjoyed the complimentary park pass to Killarney Provincial Park, in which we enjoyed some hiking and some time at their beautiful beach front. The park was only a 15-minute drive from the resort. The Town of Killarney was only 25 minutes away, in which we found a wonderful bakery which served lunch and delicious baked goods. This resort truly is a hidden gem. Not only are the fees super affordable in comparison to other resorts, but with all the extras (like complimentary fire wood) it makes the trip even more worthwhile! Lastly, the owners (Chris, his wife, and their daughters) made this trip extra special. They were incredibly accommodating, super sweet to chat with – and our daughter made a new BFF while we stayed there. We are already looking forward to our next stay and have already started recommending this place to family and friends. Thanks again for sharing your piece of heaven with us. The Lachapelles
